Hey, I'm J.

I’m a lover of words and self-expression. Especially self-expression that inspires, empowers and brings about self-awareness and joy.

I believe in being and living an authentic life.

I believe in being confident and owning your truths.

I believe in the power of words and their ability to spark life and pronounce death.

I believe in embracing imperfections and in remaining joyful regardless of present circumstances.

Writers have an incredible gift and superpower. Writers also have an enormous responsibility to use their words to encourage, uplift, evoke change and reveal truths. This is sometimes easier said than done. I know this because of my own journey.

I know how it is to feel as if you do not have a voice--at least not one worth listening to.

I know how it feels to be a woman of faith struggling with perfectionism and low self-confidence.

I know how it feels to have a message inside of you that desperately wants to come out, but out of fear, you keep it caged.

I know how it feels to cringe at the thought of having to live inauthentically for fear that you will be misunderstood or ridiculed.

I know all of these things because I still sometimes struggle with these areas. I have not yet “arrived” and I am okay with that. Yet, that doesn’t mean I can’t help you on your journey to becoming an authentic and confident writer who freely uses her creativity to inspire, empower, and make a difference in the lives of others.

Whether you enjoy journaling or want to self-publish your first non-fiction book, I can help. My job is to help you uncover your truths, and encourage you to share them confidently, authentically, and in a manner that breathes life into someone else. I am here to help you:

  • express yourself freely through journaling,
  • confidently embrace your experiences and use them to help others through your writing,
  • and even take your monstrous list of ideas and arrange them into an outline that will be the foundation of your AH-MAZING manuscript.

I'm also here to be your cheerleader, your coach, and your friend.

So, how can I help you?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
